Michael Bond

Michael gained an honours degree in music from the University of London followed by a Post Graduate Certificate in Education awarded by Nottingham University.
He has over 30 years experience teaching the violin and percussion both privately and in a few selected schools. He has also taught orchestral percussion in schools and at the West Nottinghamshire Music School.
For 15 years he was percussion tutor with the West Notts Concert Band and held the same position with Nottinghamshire's County Concert Band and County Youth Orchestra. Several pupils have moved on to play professionally with orchestras which include the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
At West Notts Music School he conducted the Symphony Orchestra for many years and for 3 years was the conductor of the West Nottinghamshire Chamber Orchestra.
Michael now teaches the piano and electronic keyboard in addition to the violin and music theory. He regularly produces his own arrangements of both classical and popular music for solo instruments and ensembles which are professionally printed. Accompaniments for solo works are produced on CD for use at home, including music for exams.
Michael is also a very keen photographer and likes to take full advantage of the spectacular scenery around Devon and Cornwall.
