Covid-19 Precautions

Face-to-face lessons will resume on Tuesday 8th September 2020. In order to protect everyone, there will be a gap between lessons so that only one student will be inside at any one time. All equipment, door handles and instruments will be sanitised between lessons, and there will be extra natural ventilation throughout lessons. The 2 metre rule should be observed at all times.

In order to keep us all safe, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Ensure you have been to the toilet and are well hydrated before leaving home. Our toilet facilities will not be available.

  • Knock and enter as usual, arriving no more than 2-3 minutes before your lesson time, as instruments and music stands etc. will need to be sanitised between lessons.

  • Pupils will be asked to use the hand sanitiser by the door and to wait in the hallway until asked to enter the lesson. Violinists - please unpack and leave your case in the hall.

  • Please observe social distancing rules at all times whilst inside.

  • In addition to all of your music for the lesson, please also bring at least one soft pencil and a rubber. Small sticky notes are also useful.

  • Please keep everything together in a folder/music-case/bag and put it on the floor when not needed. [A selection of music cases can be found here.]

  • PARENTS - please check your son/daughter's bag contains everything they need before leaving home, as I cannot safely share my own music or pencils etc.

  • If you, or anyone in your household, show symptoms of COVID-19, do not attend your lesson.
